About Me
My journey towards becoming a psychotherapist began when I was a child. I was born in Cuba and spent my formative years there, living in the bosom of my extended family. Then at five-years-old I suddenly became an immigrant child in the US with my single mother. At that young age, I navigated the trauma and complexity of being uprooted from home and family. Through healing work, I forged new paths, becoming the first generation everything in my family. Because of my life experiences I love the word chaos, it represents potential for greatness and beauty, for renewal.

My journey is one of resilience, of reconstructing fragments and finding healing in my roots, of finding my power in personal and collective liberation. In so many ways my life has shaped me into a healer. Since my early impulse to create meaning out of chaos I have chosen this path, with a deep understanding that the therapeutic relationship and experience is a gift to humanity.
